Eligibility
You must meet the following criteria to be considered for a Fellowship:

Must represent PHMC with integrity and enthusiasm

Must have received a rating of solid performer or higher on their most recent performance review

Must possess the capacity to perform job responsibilities at a high level while excelling in a demanding MPH program

Must have 2 years’ experience F-T in public health or doctoral degree
-
Must have 1 year F-T employment with PHMC or subsidiary
-
Must have a strong academic record with particular emphasis on excellent quantitative skills reflected in transcripts

Are committed to remain at PHMC or Subsidiary for the duration of the program and for at least two years after successfully completing the program

Have demonstrated an excellent attendance record at work.

Complete all application materials within stated time frames.

Have attended the information session for staff, held on October 26 or 28

Meet admissions criteria of John’s Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and be selected by school for admission.
Johns Hopkins University will be responsible for the final admissions decision.
Application Process & Materials
You must adhere to the following process:
Phase 1:
Once you have decided to pursue the Fellowship Program, ensure that you have met with your supervisor to discuss your “fit” for that program, how it relates to your professional development goals, and expectations about time away from the office and maintaining performance standards through graduation.
Pending endorsement from your supervisor, the following steps need to be taken to apply internally to PHMC.

Gather transcripts from all schools you've attended post high school. Official transcripts must be sent directly to JHU. A copy of your non-official transcripts need to be included in your application to PHMC.

Send copies of the materials listed below, no later than November 15, 2021 in a zip file to ODL@phmc.org. The zip file should be saved with file name including your last name and the school you are applying to (ex: Cohen.JHU).
The following items must be included to constitute a complete submission. Only completed submissions will be accepted and reviewed.

Letter of recommendation and completed from your program or department’s Managing Director.

A statement of purpose and objectives

A statement that indicates your area of focus for your practicum (chosen from the five focus areas identified by JHU)

Three letters of support; one must be from your MD (as mentioned above), the second from an academic reference and the third from any other relevant source

A copy of your non-official transcripts from all academic institutions

A copy of your CV and Resume
Admissions Dates

All completed application materials are due to PHMC no later than November 15, 2021. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Candidate interviews will be conducted the week of November 16-23.

Applicants will receive an email from ODL no later than November 24, 2020, regarding internal acceptance status.

Final applications to Johns Hopkins School of Public Health are due no later than December 1, 2021.
-
Students who have been recommended by PHMC will hear from the school with final acceptance status in March 2022.
