PHMC is proud to be a recruiting partner with Johns Hopkins University and the Bloomberg School of Public Health’s Fellowship Program.
The following details outline the criteria for application consideration; components of the program; application requirements; and our internal process and timeline to participate.
Criteria
Employees must meet all of the following criteria in order to be considered as a potential applicant. Meeting this criteria does not guarantee an employee will move forward in the application process. We will narrow down the pool of eligible candidates as we move through this process.

Must have received a rating of 3.5 or higher on their most recent performance review.

Must possess the capacity to perform job responsibilities at a high level while excelling in a demanding master’s program.

Must have two years’ full-time experience in public health or doctoral degree.

Must have one-year of full-time employment with PHMC or subsidiary.

Must have a strong academic record with particular emphasis on excellent quantitative skills reflected in transcripts and standardized test scores.

Must be committed to remain at PHMC or subsidiary for the duration of the program and for at least two years after successfully completing the program.

Must have an excellent attendance record at work.
Endorsement and Next Steps
Once candidates receive endorsement from leaders, we will support that candidate in submitting the following as part of our internal review process:

A two-page personal/vision statement from the candidate warranting their candidacy and explaining how they will use this opportunity to impact the communities PHMC serves

Resume or CV
-
Three letters of support— one from a leader, one from an academic reference and one from any other relevant source

PHMC Commitment and Employee Opportunity

Time to complete 16 hours of on campus learning per year

Fellows must commit to the following:

Two-year commitment to PHMC after graduation

Application of core skills and knowledge from the MPH program in communities PHMC serves

16 hours of on-campus participation per year

Release of information for transcripts

Quarterly check-ins with coach consultant
